I suddenly realized that I had never seriously drawn and painted bears as “a bear” seriously bears.

So, I started this series to come face-to-face with my bears, as if in like conversations with them.

All the bears have Japanese names, which came to me as I drew each of them.  that I got it from each bears during I was drawing them.
